Suntory Hall

With “the world’s most beautiful sound” as its concept, this renowned hall opened its doors in 1986 as Tokyo’s first dedicated concert hall. It was also the first concert hall in Japan to adopt a vineyard style seating arrangement, which was keenly advocated by Herbert von Karajan, one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, who praised the hall as “a jewel box of sound.” It remains a hub for world-class music, attracting leading performers from around the world while contributing to Japan’s culture through music.
