Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo

The Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, Tokyo presents three special exhibitions each year, focusing on works from the late 19th to the early 20th century. Standing in the heart of Tokyo’s Marunouchi district—surrounded by sleek, contemporary buildings— the museum’s red-brick architecture offers a striking contrast. The building is a faithful reconstruction of the original Mitsubishi Ichigokan, designed in 1894 by British architect Josiah Conder.
