Kozushima Island can be reached in approximately 45 minutes by plane from Chofu Airport in Tokyo and in about 3 hours and 45 minutes by high-speed boat from Takeshiba Pier. In 2020, it became the first place in Tokyo to be certified as an International Dark Sky Park®.
