Four parallel rows of ginkgo trees line the road from the park entrance on Aoyama-dori to the loop around the central area of the park. The trees are appreciated by locals throughout the four seasons: buds in spring, green leaves in summer, yellow leaves in autumn, and bare branches in winter.
