Tokyo Mega Illumi

Tokyo Mega Illumi is a display of winter lights held yearly at Oi Racecourse. As the racecourse venue is undergoing major redevelopment, this year’s illuminations are slated to be the last for the time being. Now in its ninth season, the event runs from October 31, 2026 to January 10, 2027, excluding days when horse races are held. Highlights include the 100-meter-long “Edo-Sakura Tunnel” of light and “Japan’s Original Landscape,” an area that evokes the traditional ambience of Japan through dazzling illuminations. The “Mega Tree,” a giant symbol of the event that radiates a magical glow, will also be making a return. Under the theme “Enjoy the Lights and Horses,” visitors can make the most of a winter night in a setting unique to this venue.
