TAKIGUCHI Shuzo: Writing and Drawing
This exhibition spotlights the lesser-known painting activities of Shuzo Takiguchi, who spearheaded the Surrealist movement in Japan and left a significant legacy as an art critic and poet. It marks the first time that more than half of the works in the Artizon Museum’s collection have been exhibited together. Works by artists with whom Takiguchi was associated, such as Marcel Duchamp and Joan Miró, will also be on display. Visitors will be able to carefully trace the trajectory of Takiguchi’s creative journey from writing to painting.
