Held annually since 2018, this program of open-air movie screenings returns to Shinagawa Intercity in a collaboration between ShortShorts, the producer of the ShortShorts Film Festival & Asia short film festival, and CINEMA CARAVAN, a mobile outdoor cinema. This year’s theme is “The Essence of Shinagawa,” with short films exploring themes of human connection and respect for diversity screened every night from 7 PM. At Shinagawa Grand Commons, the “CREATOR’S Theater” invites visitors to enjoy more screenings as well as talks by guest speakers. Live music, food and beverage stalls, and illuminations will also enliven the venue at night. For the opening ceremony on the first day, Akutagawa Prize-winning author Naoki Matayoshi and actress Hiroe Igeta will take the stage for a talk and an illumination-lighting ceremony.
