Set against the backdrop of the Tama River, Setagaya Ward’s flagship fireworks display lights up the autumn sky from 6 PM. The theme for the 48th edition is “Sho – A New Flight Across the Night Sky,” and the fireworks will depict the image of soaring powerfully towards the future. The festival’s greatest attraction is its grand scale: paired with the Kawasaki fireworks festival taking place simultaneously on the other side of the river, approximately 6,000 fireworks will be launched on the night. Stage performances such as taiko drumming will take place before and after the fireworks display. Food and drink stalls will also be set up, allowing visitors to enjoy the fireworks while soaking up the festive atmosphere on the riverbank.
