Tokyo Sky Corridor (KK Line) Roof Park Art Fes 2026

Decommissioned in April 2025, the former Tokyo Expressway (KK Line) now hosts its first-ever art event. The elevated structure extending across the Ginza, Kyobashi, and Shimbashi districts is normally off-limits to the public, but will be open at night exclusively during the event period from November 21 to 29. The lights of the city after dark blend with structures that bear traces of the highway’s past, giving birth to a unique exhibition space. The central artwork of the exhibition, themed “Visualizing the Invisible,” was created by graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN. Also featured are works that project historical photographs of the area onto urban surfaces, as well as a large-scale installation spanning approximately 40 meters in length. On November 28 and 29, the Setouchi Circus Factory will perform the contemporary circus piece “SHIODOME SPACE-KK-RAFT.” This performance aims to engender collaboration with the audience to weave a story that looks toward the future while drawing upon memories of the Shiodome River, which once flowed through this site.
