Masterpieces of the Renaissance from the Musée du Louvre

Showcasing the allure of Renaissance art, which flourished in Europe from the fifteenth to the sixteenth century, this exhibition features a selection of works carefully chosen from the Louvre’s vast collection. Visitors can view Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece “Portrait of a Woman (La Belle Ferronnière),” on display in Japan for the first time, and explore four themes: “Travel,” “Innovation and Refinement of Technique,” “A Look Toward Antiquity,” and “The Rise of Portraiture.” The exhibition showcases a diverse array of works ranging from paintings to sculptures, prints, drawings, and crafts, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the glorious legacy of the Renaissance.

*Admission is free for children 15 and younger (junior high school age and younger). Visitors with disabilities, along with a caregiver, are also eligible for free admission when presenting valid proof of disability.
*Free entrance to the exhibition for high school students October 1–14, upon presenting student ID.
*Reduction (100 yen off) applies to visitors who present the ticket stub of a current exhibition at The National Art Center, Tokyo; Suntory Museum of Art; or Mori Art Museum.
*Students, faculty, and staff, of Campus Member institutions can view the exhibition for 1,200 yen (students) and 2,200 yen (faculty/staff). Please purchase tickets at the exhibition ticket booth.
