52nd Kagurazaka Matsuri
One of Tokyo’s more peaceful neighborhoods, Kagurazaka gets a little lively every July, when the Kagurazaka Matsuri takes over its atmospheric streets. The festival features a hozuki (ground cherry) lantern plant market at Bishamonten Zenkokuji Temple, while an Awa Odori dance competition takes place along Kagurazaka Street. Food stalls are set up by local restaurants on July 22 and 23. Be sure to stop by this festival to experience the essence of a Japanese summer.
