Kagurazaka Lighting Event
Kagurazaka has uniquely developed as a town that preserves the traditions of a stylish, old-Edo hillside town while also possessing a sophisticated, modern atmosphere. This November and December, the autumn leaves of the zelkova trees lining Kagurazaka-dori, long beloved by the community, will be illuminated. While retaining the charming nighttime cityscape created by streetlights and buildings, and the atmosphere of the slopes, the harmony of the illuminated zelkova leaves and soft light evokes the spirit of Edo.
There are many fashionable shops and famous restaurants around Kagurazaka-dori, so please enjoy shopping and dining before or after viewing the illuminations.
Supported by: Shinjuku City
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Autumn Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
