Itabashi Fireworks Festival

This fireworks display is held simultaneously with the Todabashi Fireworks Festival in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture, located on the opposite bank of the Arakawa River. In total, approximately 15,000 fireworks are launched from both banks of the river. The event is packed with highlights, including “artistic” fireworks—a long-standing tradition—as well as the “Shaku-go-sun” fireworks, among the largest in Tokyo, and the massive “Niagara in the Sky” display, which caps off the finale. In 2026, a special salvo will also be launched to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Itabashi City Tourism Association. There is a paid seating area a 20-minute walk from Hasune and Nishidai Stations on the Toei Mita Line, which can also be reached via Ukima-Funado Station on the JR Saikyo Line. Please note that the free viewing area, a 20-minute walk from Takashimadaira Station on the Toei Mita Line, is limited to a section of the Arakawa riverbank upstream of the place from where the fireworks are launched.
