Held annually since 2014 on the east side of Ikebukuro Station in Toshima Ward, this is one of Japan’s largest Halloween cosplay events. The 2026 edition will take place over three days, including Halloween itself. Highlights include the Ikehalo Cosplay Parade, which sees approximately 400 cosplayers parade down the city’s main streets, and the Niconico Cosplay Collection, where participants showcase their best costumes on stage in Naka-Ikebukuro Park. On the first night, Ikehalo Night—an event exclusively for those 18 and older—invites participants to snap photos against the backdrop of the nighttime scenery. Another hot topic this year is the return of star cosplayer Enako as a special guest for the first time in seven years.
