Woodblock print master Katsushika Hokusai’s innovative compositions and exceptional expressive abilities have made a significant mark on the art scene in both Japan and around the world. This exhibition brings together all 46 prints in Hokusai’s iconic “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji” series. Furthermore, the exceptionally popular “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” and “Fine Wind, Clear Morning” will each be presented alongside an additional print from a different edition, with the “Great Wave” on display being a print of unparalleled quality and preservation among existing copies. Come experience Hokusai’s renowned works in the hallowed halls of the National Museum of Western Art.
