The Hachioji Fireworks Festival is held at Fujimori Park in the city of Hachioji in western Tokyo. It is a summer staple that also functions as a prelude to the traditional Hachioji Festival. Because the launch site and viewing areas are so close together, you can experience at close range dynamic blooms spreading overhead and deep, rumbling explosions that resonate in your body. Approximately 4,000 fireworks, including spectacular “star mines” and ingeniously designed pieces fitted with special effects, vividly illuminate the night sky.
