Hollywood Masters in Photos: From the Academy Collection
This exhibition showcases snapshots taken on set of legendary directors and stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, drawn from the vast photographic collection of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in the United States, the organization that hosts the Academy Awards and operates a library specializing in collecting and preserving film-related items. Posters and other articles from the National Film Archive’s collection will be displayed alongside the AMPAS photos, taking visitors back to the most vibrant era of American cinema. The exhibition also offers an auditory feast in the form of iconic melodies by composers like Max Steiner.
